But the Xbox thing and rebuying the tables? I find those to be "thin ice" arguments I have zero problems with people not wanting to support them until these areas are fixed, or if they feel the product isn't to their liking or up to each of our own QS, then that is perfectly cool to not buy it. They can't communicate well and they spread themselves too thin. Since all the work is done on the 360, don't you think they would release them if they could? Easy money no? If they don't release the tables, its because they can't.įS deserves some flack on a couple of areas for sure. You are blaming the wrong guys man! Most of the tables until two packs ago were developed on the 360, it was the primary dev platform. If you are comparing TPA to PHOF Gottlieb and Williams collections, then the TPA is a new engine, anyone playing those older games can tell you they pay very different! If you are saying you don't want to buy the products on multiple platforms, well I agree that sucks but there are only a handful of companies that allow that and very little of them are probably dealing with licensees I would guess.Ģ - you keep bringing up the Xbox issue and yet you have read countless times they legally are f'ed up over this because of Craves bankruptcy and MS' need to have a publisher. This isn't a personal attack on anyone - just another person's POV.ġ - all those hockey games are on the same platform. Seems everytime TPA says or announces something the fanboys (its not just designated to Apple is it?) jump up and down clapping hands and cheering Whilst I understand some saying there shouldn't be such negativity against TPA I also feel there shouldn't be so much sugar coating either. It stops til I see actual progress (not this abomination called Portrait view). I for one will wait to see what their end product is (if it ever gets there) before putting another penny in their pocket I've put money into a failed XBOX attempt (yeah I hate to keep bringing it up too) and have bought every table individually for the iphone/ipad. if you want to keep putting money in TPA's pockets go for it. ![]() We shouldn't feel like they are doing us a service by re-charging over and over again and failing to deliver on empty promises. TPA re-releases the exact same table over and over again but changes the view to portrait then is going to change the view again to fullscreen and yet we cannot complain about them charging for it? TPA is no different than any other company out there. NHL 11 comes out, then NHL 12 comes out, then NHL 13 and everyone bitches and complains because its the same old game wrapped with new jerseys, a few enhancements etc. How is your boss supposed to pay for your development time, and then not receive income from your work? Just try and develop "something" for your boss and then tell them you're going to add it to one of your existing products for free. Once cabinet support is fully available, I will most certainly buy TPA again for my cabinet. I'm REALLY looking forward to cabinet support but I'm saving my money until it appears because I agree, it's for a niche market and I don't see how they can add cabinet support to the existing product and then just give it away. Question to all: am I the only one to think like this? ![]() I am happy for us of course, always nice to save money but if they would have charged a $10 DLC fee, that would have been by cool! ![]() personally, I just cannot feel any entitlement is warranted here. Jeez, they are spending development time (ie: money) for what will probably be used by what, 500 people? maybe a few hundred more? They also had to spend real bucks on hardware for a cab and some toys.
